Entry Tips for Those Taking Holidays to Cairo, Egypt

The mystic city, Cairo packs in hosts of attractions to bewitch its visitors! No wonder, the city remains one of the biggest crowd pullers in Egypt. If you want to assail your senses with Egyptology, immerse in fun of ritzy shopping at quaint Egyptian bazaars or get bowled over with extraordinary Pyramids, start looking for tickets to Egypt for Cairo holidays.

But before you book your luxury holidays to Egypt, do read these visa regulations to score unruffled holidays in the land of pharaohs.

Visa Application

UK nationals willing to apply for an Egyptian visa need to produce two personal photos with white background and a photocopy of the residence card with duly filled visa application form.

Visa Fee

Single-entry tourist visa fee is £15, while fee for the multiple-entry visas is £18. Fee for single-entry business visa is £53 and for multiple-entry business visa £91.

Britons planning holidays to Cairo can either apply for an Egyptian visa in person by paying the fee in cash, or through post, by sending a Postal Order.

Visa Requisites

Britons spending money on luxury Cairo holiday deals need to obtain a valid visa before-hand.

A visa alone does not guarantee entry into the city. The final decision to allow or deny entry rests solely with the Egyptian immigration authorities.

Visa Extension

For a visa extension, applications should be made at the Egyptian Passport and Immigration Offices.

While Departure

Those with out-of-date visa by more than 14 days may get detained while leaving the city.
