Hotels near Sydney Airport - Why Opt for them

Sydney was created for tourists! How else can one explain the presence of myriad of tourist attractions in the city – each upstaging the other! Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Bondi Beach, The Rocks, Darling Harbour, Taronga Park Zoo…phew…the list is just endless!!

But this laconic piece of mine does not speak of Sydney attractions (mercifully so because brevity and Sydney attractions often do not go hand in hand). I will be talking about hotels in Sydney and more specifically hotels near the Sydney International Airport.

I have observed that a good percentage of tourists on holidays in Sydney (and not just those in transition) prefer to reside at or near the airport and opt for Sydney holiday packages that incorporate such arrangements. This is perfectly understandable. A foreign tourist and especially those on short tour of the city would like to stay close to the airport. This will ensure that he is not hassled when it comes to travelling from their airport to hotel and vice versa. Hotels near the Sydney airport are generally cheaper and have lower rates. This is another significant temptation that entices people to book accommodation options at or near the airport.

Opting for affordable hotels near the airport does not mean you have to sacrifice amenities. The Mercure Hotel Sydney Airport, Sydney Airport Lodge and Stamford Plaza Hotel Sydney International Airport are some airports that are located close to the airport, are extremely pocket-friendly and also offer all the modern services and amenities to the guests.

Money saved on transportation is another factor that entices people to include hotels near the airport in their Sydney holiday deals. And if the hotel is located within the premises of the airport or extremely close to the airport, the entire transportation cost is eliminated. No need to hail a taxi or rent a car!
